Martello Tower Y

Duncan Jackson bought Martello Tower Y in Suffolk to his family home. It is a Scheduled Monument in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and before work began it was derelict and on the ‘At Risk’ register. Working with Piercy & Co architects the tower was restored and extended into what Philip Walker of English Heritage has described as “an exemplary and unique conversion of this type of building". The tower won an RIBA Award in March 2010.
